NIR Services
Enkom offers its customers an extensive range of services that help them to adhere to the NISV (Ordinance on Protection from Non-Ionising Radiation). Aiming to accommodate the various aspects of the NISV, we offer our customers not only individual products, but also a complete range of NIR services.
Overview of our services:
- Site documentation
Recording and documenting antenna sites and nearby buildings and adjacent lots.
- NIR calculations
Using a special software tool, all NIR-relevant parameters are entered to calculate whether the required limits are adhered to.
- NIR support
For places that are critical with regard to non-ionising radiation, we support our customers with effective suggestions for solutions. This service may be required if a NIR calculation or measurement establishes that the permissible field strength is exceeded.
- NIR measurements
As an accredited inspection unit for measurements in accordance with the NIR Ordinance, Enkom can perform NIR measurements for its customers in accordance with verified quality criteria.
The REM (Radio Environment Measurements) engineering group, responsible for performing NIR measurements in accordance with FOEN (Federal Office for the Environment) recommendations, has been accredited by SAS (the Swiss Accreditation Service) in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025. In view of our many years of experience of high-frequency measurements for mobile networks, Enkom is able to offer customers an exceptional service package. All important details are taken into account – from the meticulous organisation of the measurement process through to the creation of documentation (measurement protocol). We are accredited as a Type B laboratory for GSM, UMTS, broadcasting and radio paging measurements.
