NV6 measurement system
Measurement system for quality, analysis and benchmark measurements in radio networks.
The following variants of the NV6 measurement system are available
- NV6Measure: GSM/GPRS/EDGE measurement system for the connection of up to 8 testmobiles
- NV6Light: GSM/GPRS/EDGE measurement system for the connection of up to 4 testmobiles
The NV6 system comprises the components for preparing, carrying out and evaluating measurements in GSM/GPRS/EDGE networks. Thanks to the modular structure of the system, a wide range of applications are possible:
- Conventional GSM measurements with one or more network operators
- Combined GSM/GPRS/EDGE measurements
- Measurements on trains with navigation support
- Measurements in pedestrian areas with reference to a map
The measured variables include not only conventional GSM/GPRS network parameters, but also quality characteristics that reflect the user's impression:
- Voice quality in accordance with SQUAD algorithm in UL and DL
- Data throughput at user level for Internet transactions
The measurement of the signal-to-interference distance is important for network analysis and optimisation.
All modules from the NV6 range run on conventional PCs with a Windows operating system.
